Empujar Launches Free IT Training for Youth

Fundación Empujar offers free training in Help Desk and Testing Master, two IT fields with high labor demand for trainee and junior profiles. The organization supports young people for six months after completing their training, providing access to an exclusive job pool and acting as a bridge to companies offering vacancies.

The scholarship program is aimed at young people aged 17 to 24 from vulnerable areas of AMBA. In partnership with companies from the technology district of Buenos Aires, associated with the foundation Gestión y Desarrollo, Empujar seeks to bring young people closer to the labor market. Classes, which start on March 25 and last five months, include both technical training and the soft skills necessary for corporate hiring.

Germán Lojk, the executive director of the organization, emphasizes that they focus on youth from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds, as they face significant barriers to obtaining formal employment. Empujar provides technological tools and concrete job opportunities, with the goal of reducing inequality and promoting the economic and social development of the country.

Data from OPSSI shows continuous growth in job generation in the software industry, with a total of 156,849 registered jobs. The average salary for the sector was 1,755,000 pesos as of July 2024, which represents a significant increase compared to previous years. Last year, 144 young people graduated from the Empujar program, acquiring job competencies focused on technology and digital tools, in addition to visiting companies accompanied by volunteer professionals.
